How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?Romans 10:14

Pictures Coming Soon!

Of The

Deaf Ministry of Parkside Baptist Church

Tuesday, March 20, 2007

I am so sorry for not updating.

God has been good to our deaf ministry here at Parkside Baptist Church.  Here is what God has done so far

We have seen 2 deaf saved

2 baptized.

We have had 4 deaf come through our church since October.

We are fixing to start having deaf visitation so we can go into the 20 deaf prospects homes here this month.

I want to thank someone who played a big role in this deaf ministry.  She may not think she did but if only she knew.  Abby Louise Allison was the one who gave me a big start by donating a sign language book for me to learn.  Thanks to her I am now interpreting every service and I am teaching the pastors Sunday School Class a Phrase a week in Sign Language.

Thank You Abby Louise

We have an average of 2 right now on Sunday Mornings.  Like I said we are fixing to go into all of my deaf prospects homes and  pray that God would allow us to win many to the Lord.  God is good.

Hey all... Sorry it has been so long since my last update.  I have been really busy working in our deaf ministry at church.  God has really been working a great deal in this ministry.  I believe this is where God wants me to be.  Bro. Kramer from my church has been a great blessing because he takes me to visit my deaf ministry on Saturdays.  He also has offered to pick up my deaf prospects on Sunday for church service, because I do not have transportation at this time.  God has opened up new doors every week with our deaf ministry here.  Since September there has been two faithful people coming every Sunday.  PRAISE GOD FOR THAT!  Pray God will give more people in the church a burden for the deaf ministry to reach 75,000 people that live in Dallas, TX.

My manager at my job (Whataburger) has given me ideas because his step dad and his aunt are deaf.  He has lead me to a deaf organization downtown to volunteer to work with deaf people.  My job is going well... they are training me to be a team leader and I have only been there a month.  God is truly blessing me at work.

We have seen lots of snow and ice this past week!  We are expecting more this weekend and the first of next week.  Our lakes are getting fuller of water so that is causing our drought to go down and we can start to use more water as long as it keeps on raining.  I will try to update more often.  A month and a half is way to long for an update and I apologize for that!

Trusting Him Always,
Timothy

I am sorry it has been so long since I have updated.  God is good all the time.   I have had a burden for the last year for the deaf.  Well, this Sunday will be my first time to interpret in church.  I am excited but nervous.  I have learned so much in 5 weeks and the one teaching me says that I am ready to interpret.  So God is blessing.  I am thankful to God for the chance to do this.  Please pray that God would give me wisdom and for our deaf ministry we are starting.  I must go and I will update soon.

- Timothy
